The campaign will see $5 from every burger, salad or steak sandwich sold on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, pooled and spread across three organisations, including the Otis Foundation, Bendigo SES and Bendigo Health's emergency department. 

Customers will get the option to choose which organisation to support. The organisation with the most votes will recieve 60 per cent of funds raised and the other two will receive 20 per cent each. 

Franchisee Richard Nash said the business wanted to support the community that supported it. He said the aim was to raise awareness as well as financial support for the non-for-profit organisations. 

"We are very thankful for the support we get from the community and we think it's part of our obligation as a business in town that we actually regular give back," Mr Nash said. 

Mr Nash said his staff were ready and raring to serve as many burgers as possible. 

"If people are going to eat this weekend we would like it to be here to support the groups involved," he said.

"The idea is we want to be busy. We are set up so that we can be extremely busy and raise as much money as possible. That's what it's about. It's not about us this weekend, it's about getting behind the groups."

Bendigo Health Foundation director Jane Anderson said the hospital's emergency department treated more than 120 people per day. 

"This is a fabulous opportunity for the community to support the department or any of the other two worthy causes," Ms Anderson said. 

Bendigo SES spokeswoman Natalie Stanway and Otis Foundation marketing and communications manager agreed and encouraged the entire community to back the campaign.

Mr Nash said he had already been contacted by businesses wanting to place orders for Friday lunch.

The eatery is open 11am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 11am to 9.30pm on Sunday.
