The Roos announced the appointments of Lang and Greer as their skippers for 2015 on Thursday.
The pair take over from Luke Lougoon, who has left for Mitiamo, and Tim Brooks.
For Lang, it’s another feather in the cap of the ruckman after he last year won the Roos’ best and fairest award.
“Langy has fantastic passion and desire to see the footy club improve and he has tremendous loyalty,” Kangaroo Flat coach Jason Stevens said.
“And for Corey, he sets a fantastic example for the group.
“He had a significant injury last year (osteitis pubis), but to get his body up every week was a super effort.
“He knows what it takes to play finals footy and win a grand final (with Yarrawonga), so he’s very valuable within our group.
“With he and Langy working together, we think it’s a perfect mix for the club.
“They both have a clear vision to help our group achieve the best of their ability.
“They both share a common goal and will do everything they can to help our club play finals football.”
Lang and Greer will be supported by James Saville (vice-captain), Cameron Rinaldi, Tim Brooks and Ross Turner in the player-elected leadership group.
Kangaroo Flat opens its season on Good Friday when it meets long-time nemesis Golden Square at MyJet Oval.
The Roos will continue their preparations for round one this Saturday when they play Nathalia at Kyabram in a practice match.
