LEGO extraordinaire Ryan McNaught is coming to Bendigo, and he needs some helpers.
McNaught is one of 13 "Certified Lego Professionals" in the world.
He spends his days sculpting giant creations out of the miniature bricks, building everything from a six-metre rocket to life-sized Lego Didgeridoos.
And from Friday until Sunday, McNaught will be building a giant mural of Sun Loong out of 83,000 Lego bricks.
But to achieve this ambitious feat McNaught will require the help of Bendigo's Lego lovers.
He will be in Toyworld each day from 10am - 3pm, and families are encouraged to come into the store to help McNaught build the mural.
McNaught, who grew up in Bendigo, said he was thrilled to capture the city's famous icon.
"No one's ever really done a big Chinese dragon before," he said.
"The trick is with the colours - it's a crazy coloured dragon, as you know, so quite of a bit of work has gone into its design.
"Hopefully we'll get it done by the end of the weekend."
Bendigo Toyworld owner Scott Mills said McNaught's visit was a great opportunity for children and adults alike.
"It's not only having a play with Lego but having a mosaic of part of Bendigo's history," he said.
"It's a great opportunity to talk to a bloke that gets paid to travel the world to play with Lego."
He said well as mural building, there would be colouring competitions, show bags, and "guess the bricks" games, all for a gold coin donation.
"It's going to be pretty exciting."
