Groom: Scott Trollope
Wedding: February 20, 2015
The meeting
We first met on Black Saturday in 2009 before playing football and netball at the same club, Bridgewater..
The proposal
It was on my first Mother’s Day. Scott was holding our daughter Lila and said, “we want you to have the same last name as us”.
The wedding day
I got ready at my parents’ house, with the very talented Jaime Cornish from Beauty by Jai doing our make-up and Haylee Kellow doing our hair.
Our bridal party consisted of both our closest friends – maid of honour Nicky Rothenberger and best man Reece Poyner.
The ceremony and the reception were both held at the Bendigo Pottery, with our closest family and friends attending.
The day was absolutely perfect and ran so smoothly. Thank you to Rob and Bruce from the pottery.
The dress
My dress, veil and headpiece were all from Bendigo Bridal Collection.
I wore an elegant gown of French lace and beautiful silk satin.
The ivory-coloured gown featured a stunning illusion neckline and an amazing plunging back.
The fitted bodice was encrusted in crystal beadwork all over the beautiful French lace. The silk satin skirt fell away from the waistline into a full circle and a chapel length train fell behind.
I also wore a beautiful cathedral-length veil that was embellished with crystal beading.
A stunning crystal headpiece completed my amazing look.
A big thank you to the extremely talented Bron McQueen for doing my alterations and for also helping me find the perfect gown.
The cake
The cake was a three-tiered lemon cake with butter icing made by the ever so talented Lucy Dickson – oh, happy days.
Our photographer was the amazing Sean Batty from Mylittleeye Photography.
The honeymoon
We are heading to Fiji in June for a close friend’s wedding that will also be our honeymoon.
