The competition, part of the Eaglehawk Dahlia Arts and Music Festival, gives aspiring performers the chance to put their singing and dancing skills to the test on March 25.
Organiser Alf Thorpe said the competition had proved popular in past years.
"The competition has attracted some excellent talent over the years," he said.
"It is open to all singers 14 years and over, whatever their music genre, it can be pop, jazz, classic or country and western - it doesn't matter."
Auditions will take place at the California Gully Mechanics Institute on March 14. Finalists will then be chosen to perform at Eaglehawk Secondary College on March 25th.
Major prizes include a $500 in cash as chosen by the judges and $250 as chosen by the audience.
