The band, which formed four years ago, has been working on Warriors of the Wastleand for 12 months.
Chase the Ace consist of lead guitarist and vocalist Jack Crosbie, Tyler Maloney on guitar, Mitch Chartlon on bass and Jack's sister Tara Crosbie on drums.
"We started writing about 12 months ago but didn't record until eight months ago," Crosbie said.
"We took a fair bit of time with it and had a lot to learn along the way.
"The album was ready a couple of months ago but we have been waiting for the right weekend (to launch it) socertain bands could help us launch it."
The album launch will be at the MusicMan Mega Store in Williamson Street from 8pm.
Local bands Stone Djoser, Requiem, Obscure and Ergasia will support Chase the Ace.
"There are heavier elements to (the support acts) but mainly they are our mates and we wanted to play a gig with them," Crosbie said.
"We play at the MusicMan quite often. It is like our home turf."
Outside of album preparations, Chase the Ace have been slowly extending their reach to the Melbourne music scene.
"We have been trying to make a name for ourselves as well as recording," Crosbie said.
"Gigs have mostly been in Bendigo but we are trying to branch out and play any gig we are offered in Melbourne."
The band has a good reputation in Bendigo and made a mark in Melbourne last year when they won an endorsement prize at the Espy Artists Showdown.
"We were pretty impressed with that, especially at a Melbourne show ," Crosbie said.
While heavy metal music might not be to everyone's taste, it was bands like Metallica and Pantera that have influenced Chase the Ace.
"Our sound is heavy metal, there's no other way to say it," Crosbie said.
"I love all that energy that goes towards that (heavy metal) style. On stage it is an awesome energy to watch."
Chase the Ace launch its debut album, Warriors of the Wasteland on Friday, March 7, at 8pm at the MusicMan Megastore in Williamsson Street.
