CARE Beyond Measure remains a registered business with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, despite the Australian Tax Office seeking to wind it up.
The ATO took the Bendigo business to the Supreme Court of Victoria on Tuesday, amid reports owner Sam Tayeh owes employees thousands of dollars in superannuation and other benefits.
While unable to report what was said in court, the Bendigo Advertiser can confirm Care Beyond Measure remains a registered business.
Another court hearing has been scheduled for March 17.
In a written statement, Mr Tayeh said the case had been adjourned to allow the business to have further discussions with the ATO to resolve the matter.
"Our staff and management team remain committed to the day-to-day delivery of our services to the community," he said.
"Our expectation is that (the case) will be dropped as we are currently in discussion with the ATO and are confident with our proposal."
