He has been bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court on May 21.
Police seized 50 cannabis plants, some prepared cannabis and some weaponry, including knives, from a Kangaroo Flat home.
The cannabis plants ranged in size from a metre in height, with thick foliage to seedlings in plastic containers.
Police were at the Kangaroo Flat house from about 10am to 12.30pm, removing plants from pots and placing them in large bags for confiscation.
UPDATE 12.55pm: A Kangaroo Flat man, 41, will be interviewed and charged in relation to cultivating and trafficking cannabis as well as weapons offences.
Acting Sergeant Richard Webster from the Central Victorian Response Unit said the man had knives and other weapons, but no firearms.
Police seized about 50 cannabis plants and some prepared cannabis.
Acting Sergeant Webster said the raid was a result of an investigation over a number of weeks.
UPDATE 12.45pm: Police have handcuffed and arrested a man, who was an occupant of the house.
The young man, who appears to be in his 40s is leaving with police in one car.
UPDATE 12.30pm: Police have pulled the cannabis plants from their pots and are placing them in large bags.
They have just removed another 10 small cannabis plants in small plastic containers.

The plants are in large pots, with some more than a metre in height.
Police are removing the plants from the pots just outside he front door of the home.
Police have been at the house since 10am.
There are three unmarked police cars outside the house.
