The two best teams for the past three seasons will go head-to-head in the grand final.
One team is looking to win its third straight championship, the other is trying to break its final hoodoo and claim its first title.
Whatever way you look at it, Bendigo and Townsville will be putting on a show.
This season the Spirit had to work hard for many wins and the path to the grand final hasn't been as easy.
They had one of their worst losses to Townsville in week one of the finals and had some nervous moments in their win against Sydney on Sunday.
The Spirit has the talent to get the job done, but far too often this season they seemed to switch off in patches of games, giving their opposition a glimmer of hope.
Bendigo did just that on Sunday.
They began their match against Sydney brilliantly.
Everything was going their way, they were working as a team, but somehow by three quarter-time the Flames were back in it.
Kelly Wilson played an incredible game, she worked tirelessly and was the key for the Spirit.
Jane Chalmers also played a crucial role in the dying minutes of the game.
If it wasn't for her determination the Spirit may not be preparing for another grand final this week.
Coach Bernie Harrower said her spark at the finish was exactly what the team needed.
Chalmers is one of the unsung heroes of the Spirit team, she goes about her business without any fan fare.
She has been an integral member of the club for many years and no doubt her experience in big games will be called upon on Sunday.
Both Bendigo and Townsville know each other well.
They have had some exciting matches over the years and the final should be no different.
However, the only difference this week is that Townsville is the favourite.
They have been on top of the ladder all season and earned the right to host the grand final.
The Fire will be in front of a vocal home crowd, which will be a factor on game day.
It is going to be a tough match.
But if Bendigo is any chance of scoring an historical three-peat then they need to find that winning edge that has seen them claim those titles the past two years.
Kelsey Griffin (pictured) has been huge in the past two grand finals and will again be a player to watch.
In the semi-final clash two weeks she single-handedly kept Bendigo in the game.
If the Spirit has the drive and hunger to win they will need all of their players to be ready to fire.
The Spirit has the talent to get the job done.
Whether it be the the starting five or someone coming off the bench, everyone needs to be up for the challenge.
I am tipping Bendigo to win by two points.
