The event is part of the week-long Festival of Cultures that runs in Bendigo from March 16 to 22.
The March 21 dinner dance includes a live band and after a short Argentine tango performance, the floor will be open to everyone.
Melbourne-based band Funkalleros and Saca La Mois DJ will provide modern and traditional Latino tunes.
Dance teacher Bronwyn Williams said many residents would not know Latin dancing existed in Bendigo.
She said there was a huge live music and Latin dancing culture in Melbourne, with only a small following in Bendigo.
IDance has been in Bendigo 11 years and has seen interest in dancing grow over time.
It started as a salsa school but has since branched out to other ballroom styles and prepares students for dance exams, or medals as they are called in ballroom.
Ms Williams said IDance needed as many male dancers as females.
"Some men think it's going to be something weird," she said.
"But we can't dance unless the boys dance with us."
Ms Williams said children in Latin cultures grew up dancing together in public.
"You feel most alive when you're dancing," she said.
"If we could dance out in the streets, imagine what Bendigo would be like."
Tickets to the Latin Fiesta Dinner Dance cost $50 for adults and $25 for children. To book call All Seasons on 5443 8166 or Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services.
