The Flack Advisory-backed Richard Kitt Memorial will be run on Saturday evening at the Tom Flood Sports Centre.
Heats of the Hilson Builders-sponsored Sally Conroy Memorial are on Saturday afternoon.
The final of the Athletics Bendigo sprint classic is during Sunday afternoon's session at the Barnard Street track.
A field of 29 for the Richard Kitt Memorial includes Brady Threlfall and Andy Buchanan as co-backmarkers off 1.55.
Racing in the Bendigo Harriers colours, Threlfall won the Kitt final at the 2007 carnival.
Two years later Buchanan raced to victory.
His clubmate from University, David Heislers won the final in 2013.
Bendigo Harriers' president Geoff Jordan will chase back-to-back victories.
The only athlete to do so was YCW's Leigh Nolan in 1977-78 and 1978-79.
Three heats of the Sally Conroy Memorial will be run. First two from each heat and next two fastest go to the final.
Contenders include Eaglehawk's Tim Sullivan, winner of 10 gold medals across three Paralympics.
