A GENEROUS donation was pledged to the Kangaroo Flat Soup Kitchen following the Kangaroo Flat Community Golf Day on Sunday at the Belvoir Park course.

The popular golf day, sponsored by office equipment firm Evolution and proudly supported by the Bendigo Advertiser drew 120 starters.
The two-person Ambrose event was won on a countback by Belvoir Park clubmates Scott McHugh and George Barnes with a superb round of 63 off the stick, seven under the card, 63-3 1/4-59 3/4.
Runners-up were Mal McIntosh (Belvoir Park) and Barry Baines (Yarrawonga) 67-7 ¼- 59 3/4.
Next best were Kangaroo Flat FC team-mates Matt Giri and Carl Rohde, 70-9-61.
Several of the participants had played AFL football.
Those who teed off at Belvoir Park included Graeme Robertson (Richmond and Carlton), Ken Sheldon (Carlton and St Kilda), Damian Drum (Geelong) and Tom Sheldon (Brisbane Lions).
Golfers also played for $100 Super Pins.
