Colbinabbin will go into the grand final undefeated following a comfortable nine-wicket win over Bagshot.
Four wickets to Colbinabbin’s Sam McRae helped bowl Bagshot out for 95 after it won the toss at M.J. Morgan Oval.
McRae claimed 4-17 off six overs for the Ducks, while David Price (2-14) was the other multiple wicket-taker.
Opening bowlers Hadleigh Sirett (0-8 off six) and Darcy Booth (1-12 off eight) were both economical.
Bagshot had been 3-73, before McRae’s dismissal of captain Marc Sherwell sparked a collapse.
Bagshot lost its last seven wickets for 22 to be bowled out in the 38th over.
Sherwell (19), Ash Jefferis (19) and opener Stefan Anderson (15) were the only players to make double figures for Bagshot.
In reply, Colbinabbin took 24 overs to reply with 1-99, led by captain Bryan Dwyer (47 n.o.), Chris Guinane (22 n.o.) and Paddy O’Brien (22).
Sherwell (1-16) took the only wicket for Bagshot.
Colbinabbin’s win sets up an opportunity for the Ducks to vie for their first premiership since 1988.
Among that premiership side of 1988 was Phil Morgan, who will line up for the Ducks in Saturday’s grand final.
• Having lost in the semi-final the past two years, it was a case of third time lucky for Calivil with its 34-run win over Dingee.
After been sent in, Calivil made 9-130 off its 40 overs.
All-rounder Anthony Dennis led the Calivil innings with a knock of 32.
The only other player to make more than 20 was opener Jarrod Smith (22).
Ross Smith (3-24), Daniel Whitfield (2-16) and Nic Balic (2-22) were the multiple wicket-takers for Dingee.
Dingee was constantly on the backfoot in its innings after its top four batsmen - Dale Anderson (0), Robert Lowes (4), Anthony Lawry (5) and Matthew Hind (3) - combined for just 12 runs.
Dingee was bowled out in the 33rd over for 96.
Scott Lawry top scored with 28, while Darren Lawry made 20.
Anthony Dennis (2-10), Lachlan Ralphs (2-23) and Ash Smith (2-18) took two wickets apiece for Calivil, which is through to its first grand final since it beat Kamarooka in the 2012 decider.
• The NUCA presentation night will be held this Wednesday from 6.30pm at the Huntly Hotel.
