A Mandurang South woman has told of the moment her "whole house shook" when what she believes was a "mini tornado" hitting her home on Saturday night.
Lynley Towers was at home with her husband Paul and their seven-year-old son Seth when she thought she heard the start of rain falling about 7.30pm.
She went outside to check and discovered it was wind.
"I opened the door and it was going berserk. There was dust everywhere and I saw things flying around," she said. "My husband was inside and he said that the whole house shook."
Ms Towers said storm lasted less than a minute but it was "pretty intense".
She said their property was littered with fallen trees and objects displaced.
She said her neighbour's property has also been affected.
"A flying piece of tin has cut into a tree. That could of killed someone if they had been outside," she said.
"There are lots of trees that have snapped. Our neighbour had their shed roof ripped off."
