Bendigo Theatre Company will debut its production of Noises Off this Friday at the Arts Shed in Allingham Street, Golden Square.
Director Conor Cunningham said the play is a crowd pleaser.
"It's a fantastically written play. Anyone who is involved in theatre can relate to what's happening on stage because they have been in those positions before," he said.
"I think it's a very funny play and deserves to be in front of audiences on a regular basis."
Noises Off is a play about a play. It focuses on the cast and crew putting on a play.

- Conor Cunningham, director
Mr Cunningham has been a part of Noises Off productions twice before as a backstage hand and director. He has been with BTC for two years.
"The first act is during dress rehearsal. Act two is backstage at a show and the set is rotated 180 degrees so you get an insight into all the shenanigans of what's happening backstage during a show.
"In act three the stage is rotated again and we see the opening act 12 weeks down the line and how relationships have deteriorated."
The vast two-story set can rotate 360 degrees and was designed by Ken Wells.
"Thanks to Ken and his team of deckhands, he has pulled something out of the bag," Mr Cunningham said.
"It's a very difficult set to put together and they did it so quickly that the cast was able to rehearse on it early which is very important.
"It's a very technical and complex play to perform. The best thing I did was pick the cast I did. They have picked up on everything very quickly and made this an easy job."
Noises Off features Maree Kennedy, Jason McMurray, Sheryn Long, Chris Pedler, Chris Emond, Paul Henshall, Saari Frochot-Ryan, Laura-Jane Leach and Abe Watson.
Noises Off is on at BTC's Arts Shed on March 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 8pm and March 15 at 2pm.
The performance on March 13 is sold out. To book tickets visit www.trybooking.com/117682
