Last time: Bendigo United 9-173 d Eaglehawk 168.
Since 2000: Bendigo United 10; Eaglehawk 8.
BENDIGO UNITED - still a chance of finishing on top of the ladder if it beats Eaglehawk and Strathdale-Maristians loses to Kangaroo Flat.
The Redbacks are coming off a commanding 166-run win over White Hills last round that improved their record to 9-2.
Captain Leigh McDermott has been in fine form with back-to-back scores of 99 and 72, while veteran Nick Crawford has claimed 14 wickets the past three games.
Crawford looms as a major key again as spin bowlers continue to prove a weakness for the Hawks.
• Runs - Heath Behrens (462); Ben Gunn (390); Leigh McDermott (382). Wickets - Miggy Podosky (28); Nick Crawford (27).
EAGLEHAWK - was under pressure after round nine to hold its top four spot, but has responded in style with wins over Strathfieldsaye and White Hills to sew up a finals berth.
Left-armer Shaun Knott has been instrumental in both wins with bags of 7-30 against the Jets and 6-50 against the Demons, with Richard Tibbett providing fine support.
The Hawks lost to the Redbacks by five runs in round eight and will be keen to head into a likely semi-final match-up with their scalp under their belt.
• Runs - Matt Fitt (326); Anthony West (317); Jason Abbott (285). Wickets - Shaun Knott (30); Richard Tibbett (20).
SANDHURST v STRATHFIELDSAYE - 1pm Saturday (and Sunday) at Bendigo Door Centre Weeroona Oval.
Last time: Strathfieldsaye 8-192 d Sandhurst 8-191.
Since 2000: Strathfieldsaye 10; Sandhurst 8.
SANDHURST - last game of a frustrating season that will go down as “what could have been" for the Dragons.
They have lost their past nine games - so many of them near misses - but still have some incentive.
A win over the Jets at home would not only prevent their losing streak reaching double figures, but more importantly, also give them a chance of avoiding the wooden spoon.
• Runs - Craig Howard (387); Lucas Hutchinson (300); Shane Robinson (248). Wickets - Liam Bowe (30); Craig Howard (26).
STRATHFIELDSAYE - scenario couldn’t be any simpler - win and the Jets are playing finals for just the second time since 2001.
Lose and they must then sweat on Kangaroo Flat losing to Strathdale to hold their top four spot.
Need a lift with the bat, having been bowled out for 55, 178 and 158 in their three games since the break.
How will they handle the pressure of playing for a finals berth?
• Runs - Ben Devanny (626); Greg Lyon (344); Luke Jones (285). Wickets - Ben Devanny (29); Cory Devanny (22).
GOLDEN SQUARE v BENDIGO - 1pm Saturday at MyJet Oval.
Last time: Bendigo 6-144 d Golden Square 143.
Since 2000: Golden Square 12; Bendigo 7.
GOLDEN SQUARE - only pride left to play for, as well as the chance for the recalled Jason Johnson to mark his 100th first XI game with a victory.
Continue to struggle with the bat, having been bowled out four times for less than 150 in its past five games.
Among the positives out of the season have been the bowling efforts of Scott Woodman (22 wickets) and the economical Connor Miller (10).
• Runs - Scott Johnson (381); Liam Smith (176); Jamie Bysouth (163). Wickets - Scott Woodman (22); Liam Smith (16).
BENDIGO - the Goers’ realistic finals aspirations ended with last week’s loss to Kangaroo Flat.
The Goers have taken a step forward this summer, but a third loss in a row to end the season would leave a bitter taste.
Veteran Mark Ryan plays his 250th first XI game for the Goers, which will give the side an extra spur.
• Runs - Alex Pearson (341); Nathan Fitzpatrick (328); Mark Ryan (267). Wickets - Alex Pearson (23); Nathan Fitzpatrick (20).
WHITE HILLS v HUNTLY-NORTH EPSOM - 1pm Saturday at Glen Loddon Homes Oval.
Last time: Huntly-North Epsom 2-149 d White Hills 9-145.
Since 2000: White Hills 11; Huntly-Nth Epsom 6.
WHITE HILLS - the Demons were talked up pre-season as one of the sides potentially capable of pushing into the top four, but may yet finish last.
Have only made more than 150 once in their past four games and will be without one of their key batsmen Gavin Bowles for this clash.
The bowling has also been a battle, having conceded three scores above 236 in their past three games.
• Runs - Brayden Stepien (412); Mitch Winter-Irving (368); Gavin Bowles (361). Wickets - Mitch Winter-Irving (18); Rhys Irwin (16).
HUNTLY-NORTH EPSOM - won't play finals, but a chance to end the season with back-to-back wins for the Power.
Despite all their struggles with the bat, the Power cracked the BDCA’s highest score of the season - 352 - in their win over Sandhurst last round.
If captain Josh Collinson and coach Adam Ward can fire with the bat again, the Power will be hard to beat.
• Runs - Adam Ward (492); Josh Collinson (400); Michael Hanson (233). Wickets - Adam Ward (25); Tom Wilson (14); Dylan Gibson (14).
STRATHDALE-MARISTIANS v KANGAROO FLAT - 1pm Saturday at All Seasons Oval.
Last time: Strathdale 8-170 d Kangaroo Flat 9-167.
Since 2000: Strathdale 13; Kangaroo Flat 9.
STRATHDALE-MARISTIANS - opportunity for the Suns to wrap up top spot and all the advantages that come with it should rain intervene during the finals.
The Suns have barely put a foot wrong since their eight-game winning streak began against Bendigo United in round four.
They will be determined not to let their momentum slip on the eve of another finals appearance.
• Runs - Nick Baker (405); Cameron Taylor (394); Ben DeAraugo (366). Wickets - Cameron Taylor (28); Jacob DeAraugo (18).
KANGAROO FLAT - from a 2-6 record after round eight, three wins on the trot have the Roos entering the last round a live finals chance.
To snare what at Christmas seemed an unlikely finals berth, the Roos must beat the Suns and rely on Strathfieldsaye losing to Sandhurst.
The Roos’ form gives them a chance of holding up their end of the bargain.
• Runs - Adam Burns (428); Brent Hamblin (301); Jake Klemm (27). Wickets - Adam Burns (39); Brent Hamblin (31).
