Students celebrated the beginning of the university year with a glow paint party last night.
Bendigo Student Association president Marcus Hinneberg said 1100 tickets were sold to the event which featured DJ Timmy Trumpet behind the decks.
Mr Hinneberg said the week had gotten off to a fantastic start with a launch party and market day.
Seventy-five stall holders exhibited at market day, showing students what was on offer in Bendigo and through La Trobe's own student clubs.
The fun continued in the morning when students were treated to a free breakfast and Mexican feast for lunch.
Tonight, students will need to put on their thinking caps for a "bogan trivia" event at the La Trobe sports fields where students are encouraged to "dress like a bogan and think like a professor".
Another free breakfast and lunch tomorrow will fuel students for an all ages games night at Major League where students can test their skills at bubble soccer and a host of other games.
For the over 18s, a mystery bus tour will see students split up into 12 teams of 60 for a night of fun across town.
Mr Hinneberg said this year's O'Week was the best he had seen.
"It's been a great positive atmosphere; everyone's had a great time," he said.
