BCG managed 120 research trials at 26 sites in 2014.
BCG researchers Claire Browne and Linda Walters and Agronomise consultant Simon Craig will discuss the results from the trials of wheat, barley and canola varieties and what to consider before including new varieties in cropping rotations.
Pulse varieties will be covered later in the day by Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources research agronomist Jason Brand.
CSIRO scientist James Hunt and leading consultant Harm van Rees will discuss the risks and benefits of early sowing in light of numerous frost events in 2014.
The findings from a BCG-led investigation into how crop sequences can influence brome grass populations will be presented by BCG researcher De-Anne Ferrier.
For the past four years Ms Ferrier has examined how rotations which include break crops, pastures, chemical fallows or Clearfield chemistry influences weed numbers, grain yield, soil water and nitrogen and paddock profitability.
The trials review day is open to BCG members only. Non-members interested in attending can purchase a membership prior to the event or on the day.
