UPDATE, 7.51am:
BENDIGO has only received five millimetres of rain since 9am on Sunday, with the majority of Sunday night's storm consisting of lightning.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Matt Michael said the storm lasted for about an hour.
He said the highest rain readings were recorded south of Bendigo - with Strathfieldsaye receiving about 11 millimetres and Redesdale 29 millimetres.
Mr Michael said no rain was forecast for Bendigo on Monday.
UPDATE, 7.37am:
BENDIGO'S State Emergency Service responded to just one job on Sunday night.
SES media liaison Natalie Stanway said crews were on standby during last night's storm but were only called to one job for a fallen tree at Flora Hill.
"We were quite surprised," she said.
UPDATE MONDAY, 7.31am:
POWER remains out at various locations across central Victoria following Sunday night's storm activity.
About 21 customers in Woodvale are without power as a direct result of last night's wild weather. Power is expected to be reconnected about 9am.
About 100 customers in Myers Flat are also without power. Lockwood, Wellsford and Toolleen, Shelbourne and Marong customers are also affected by outages.

UPDATE 9.12pm: Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Richard Russell says the storm is expected to last for about an hour in Bendigo.
"We saw storms progressing over the Wimmera and Mallee this afternoon, giving us an impressive light show," he said.
"So far, the highest rainfall we've had is in Navarre, (in the Wimmera district) so we'll be interested to see how much we'll record in Bendigo."
However, Mr Russell said residents shouldn't get their hopes up that the rain might lessen this week's fire risks.
"Unfortunately with many places it's moved across it hasn't recorded that much rainfall," he said.
He said lightning also posed fire risks, and authorities would be "looking out with a sharp eye tomorrow for things they don't want to see".
