A Strathfieldsaye man escaped with minor injuries at Harcourt North, while a woman and an 11-year-old passenger also suffered only minor injuries after the car they were travelling in hit a kangaroo at Maiden Gully.
Sadly, as we know, other drivers haven't been so lucky.

Clearly there are those out there who believe there is a need to cull kangaroo numbers.
Such action won't stop accidents involving kangaroos and cars.
Educating drivers about being cautious on roads used by kangaroos and reminding them swerving to miss an animal is dangerous seems a better approach.
A car can be fixed - a life can not.
