Bridegroom: Tim Kent
Wedding: November 8, 2014
The meeting
We both come from a small town and met back in 2003. We just caught each other’s eye when we were out one day and have been together ever since!
The proposal
We went to Sydney for our daughter’s birthday. While we were up there we went to Palm Beach, which is where Tim proposed.
We were on the beautiful white sand at the famous “Summer Bay”, and it was perfect.
I couldn’t imagine it any other way – at a beautiful location with our two little girls by our side.
The wedding day
We started planning the wedding 12 months before the big day. It was held at The Bendigo Pottery with around 80 guests. It was the perfect day.
Organising everything was quite easy because most things we did ourselves, which saved a lot of money, but it is extremely time-consuming.
The theme for the wedding was vintage style, so a lot of things had the vintage touch to it to give the day a soft, laid-back kind of feel.
We had an amazing bridal team on both sides – Letitia Coad, Zoe Blackie, Ellie Blackie, Todd Lister, Ash Williams and Tom Pilcher.
The food and reception hall were put together so well for us by Robert from the Bendigo Pottery. Everything was easy and very relaxed, which is what we both wanted.
Our day was the best day of our lives and we will remember it forever!
The dress
The dress was a style I had been looking for. It has no designer name, just a style I put together and a lady from England made for me.
It had a lace overlay with a beaded belt across the mid-section to break it up a touch, and finished with a long ivory veil.
The cake
Our cake was made by the lovely Sue Vaughan in Ararat. It was a two- tier white chocolate mud cake.
The photographer
Our photographer was the amazing Rick Bentley. He was absolutely fabulous on the day.
The honeymoon
We are yet to venture on our honeymoon but are planning on a “familymoon” in the months coming with our little girls.
