The West Australian band will return to GTM this year after just three years away from the festival.
"It's been a pretty busy three years. A lot has happened," Stevens said.
"Last time we were one of the first bands on the main stage and it was a really great festival. It was one of the first big tours we had done."
"It was an amazing experience meeting other bands and getting to know them. It was like one big party in a regional city."
Before setting off on the GTM circuit in April, San Cisco will tour the US with shows in Los Angeles, New York and Austin.
They will also play shows in Mexico City and Europe.
The tour and the band's GTM appearence will coincide with its second album.
The album follows the single Run, which was released in 2014.
Despite it being San Cisco's only release in 2014, Run was voted into the Triple J Hottest 100 at number 33.
"We were really happy about it especially having no album (for the single to fall back on)," Stevens said.
"Our sound has changed a lot in the last two years and while Run is a good indicator of that, there are a lot of other styles (on the new album)."
