O'Shea will be among a field of more than 150 competing across four days at Darebin International Sports Centre.
The championships are on from January 28 until 31.
A world champion in the omnium and multiple times in teams pursuit, O'Shea won silver in the teams pursuit at the 2012 London Olympics.
The Adelaide-based cyclist is one of the country's best track endurance competitors and will team with Jack Bobridge in the Bendigo International Madison track classic in March.
O'Shea is a three-time winner of the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year award.
Now in it's 50th year, Sports Star is proudly supported by Bendigo Bank and Prime 7.
Another of the Bendigo's cycling stars, sprint ace Braeden Dean will compete on the boards.
.A who's who of Australian and world track cycling will be in action at Darebin.
Stars to watch include Anna Meares, Matthew Glaetzer, Shane Perkins. Stephanie Morton, Amy Cure, and the Edmondson siblings, Alex and Annette.
Day sessions are free to all spectators.
Among the many highlights will be the attempt by individual pursuit world record holder Jack Bobridge attempt to break the hour record at 7pm on Saturday.
