When Baelea and her father, Gordon, drove down the family's driveway on Monday morning they found SpongeBob SquarePants without his front teeth and tie.
One of the sculpture's legs had also collapsed, possibly as a result of the theft.
Baelea's mother, Linda Nancarrow, said the family had since repaired Baelea's creation.
"Several people pulled up just as we were doing the repairs, and were as disappointed as we were that someone could do something as pointless and thoughtless," she said.
