Leading Senior Constable Darren Scherger of Goornong police was parked nearby when the fight broke out.
He witnessed the whole incident and caught it on video.
"It went for a good five minutes," he said.
Others took video and submitted them to police.
Leading Senior Constable Scherger said participants in the brawl would be charged later this week after police thoroughly examine the videos.
UPDATE MONDAY, 1.47PM: VIDEO has emerged of a brawl in Flora Hill on Sunday.
A Bendigo Advertiser reader has sent in footage of the fight on Somerville Street.
UPDATE 6.20PM: POLICE have interviewed four people in relation to assault and weapons charges following a brawl in Flora Hill this afternoon.
Bendigo Sergeant Damian Keegan said three men aged 41, 21 and 19 and one woman aged 41 were released pending summons to appear at court at a later date.
Sergeant Keegan said weapons used in the brawl included a chain, iron bars and rocks.
"People throwing rocks across the road puts other road users in danger," he said.
Police are still going through evidence and making inquiries with another four people involved in the incident.
Evidence includes video footage of the altercation taken by witnesses on their phones.
Sergeant Keegan said the fight broke out when someone drove past some of the people and yelled out a comment.
All those involved were known to each other.
No one was injured.
Bendigo Police are calling on witnesses of the incident to contact them on 5448 1300 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
UPDATE 3.15PM: Bendigo police Sergeant Damian Keegan said four people were assisting police in relation to a street brawl in Flora Hill this afternoon.
Sergeant Keegan said the brawl broke out about 1.30pm and involved seven or eight people, who were known to each other.
He said nobody was injured from the brawl.
He said police patrolling the area became aware of the fight and called for backup, with several police units attending.
Traffic was backed up as police attended.
He said the people involved were known to police.
He called on members of the public who witnessed the incident to contact Bendigo police on 54481300.
EARLIER: MORE than five police vehicles have descended on a street in Flora Hill on Sunday.
Members are talking to people in Somerville Street near Nish Street.
Police were called about 1.30pm.
