I DON'T know what the ambulance men and women, or the doctors, nurses, and everybody involved at the emergency department of the Bendigo Hospital are paid, but in my opinion they are worth every cent, and more.

On Tuesday, my wife Wendy had a very sudden, and very, very serious medical emergency, which could only be described as terrifying for both of us.
With the arrival of the ambulance medicos began a calm, thorough and methodical assessment of Wendy's condition, after which she was transferred to the Bendigo emergency department.
The care and professionalism shown by these people in this department is outstanding.
Finally I would also like to publicly thank Dr Les Fisher, for his support in these difficult circumstances, and his colleague Dr Joris Mekel.
Now I know some people will simply say "but that is their job".
Yes, it is. But my answer to that is, how many people's lives do we, non-medical qualified people, save every day as part of our job?
Once again, please accept our heartfelt thanks.
