He suggests that we on Planet Earth may be a rarity indeed when it comes to the evolution of 'intelligent' life on Earth.
With billions of galaxies in the Universe and billions of stars within each galaxy, and new evidence of thousands of similar Earth-like planets in the Universe, Professor Cox's claim about our unique intelligence must surely be very questionable.
Back home, we witness the continuing, ongoing horrors of wars in places including the Congo, Iraq, Afghanistan and Ukraine, plus Syria, and as if this is not enough, we cannot even come together globally and curb the impact of accelerating global warming which will make life far more difficult for future generations.
No, I don't see much evidence of "intelligent' life here on Earth, not much at all.
