Ian Francis Jamieson, 63, was initially scheduled to face court on January 21.
Police made an application on December 10 for more time to complete the brief.
Greg Holmes, 48, his mother Mary Lockhart, 75, and her husband Peter Lockhart, 78 were shot and killed across two properties south of the town near Wedderburn-Logan Road on October 22.
Jamieson was arrested the same night and charged with three counts of murder the following night.
He has been in custody since an out-of-sessions hearing at Bendigo Police Station on October 24.
