More than 5000 people including players, parents and coaches will be in the city for the 37th annual Bendigo Skin Ski and Surf Junior Classic.
About 229 teams from across Victoria as well as some travelling from as far as South Australia are expected to tip-off at the tournament.
Twenty-nine associations will be represented at the event, including teams from Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong, Horsha, Mildura, Mount Gambier, Taralgon, Wodonga and Frankston.
The age groups playing in the classic range from under-12 through to under-20.
Organisers says people will get to see some of the best players, coaches and referees show off their talents.
Games will be played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday on 16 different courts across seven venues in Bendigo.
The Bendigo Basketball Association wish all teams competing in the tournament luck and that they enjoy their stay in the region.
Entry into the games is free.
