Market-goers, donning in coats and umbrellas, sipped on coffee as they made their monthly purchases.
Sharyn Smith, of Bendigo, said she was a regular at the market come hail, rain or shine.
"These things are planned, they still go ahead and people still come, it's only a bit of rain," Ms Smith said.
Ms Smith said she grew a lot of her own vegetables and the market was a terrific event.
"I like the atmosphere and the community feel of it," she said.
"(I like) the products of course and the produce. I am a real organic veggie grower."
Fiona Gardner was at the market with her partner Drew Lawson.

It was the second time they had been and no amount of rain was going to stop them, Ms Gardner said.
"Last time we came my partner got beer he really loved, we got cheese we liked, I got big, yellow peaches, great avocados, so no, a little bit of rain was not going to stop us," she said.
Stallholder Hamish Burr, of Shambani Garlic, said while the rain had deterred some people from attending the market, he had still be busy.
"I would say the weather has probably taken numbers down a little bit," he said.
"But it is nice to have rain by the same token."
Bendigo Community Farmers' Market president Ann Lansberry said she was delighted to see so many people turn out for the market.
"These are the people who really support farmers," she said.
Ms Lansberry said the market would be called off in times of extreme heat or storms.
