BENDIGO’S Sam Irwin-Hill will play his final US college football game in Tuesday’s Texas Bowl in Houston.
Irwin-Hill’s Arkansas Razorbacks will take on the Texas Longhorns from 12.30pm (AEDT).
After spending the first two years of his college career with the City College of San Francisco Rams, Irwin-Hill has turned heads in his two-year stint as the Razorbacks punter.
This season he was named on the watch list for the prestigious Rudy Gay Award, which recognises the best punters in college football.
The highlight of Irwin-Hill’s season was a Razorbacks trick play which resulted in him running the football for a 51-yard touchdown.
The play created headlines in Australia and across the US.
This season he has kicked the ball 54 times for a total of 2168 yards at an average of 40.1. His longest punt was 54 yards, while 23 times his punts pinned the Razorbacks’ opponents inside their own 20-yard line.
His performances have him earmarked as a potential selection in next year’s NFL Draft.
Tuesday’s Arkansas Razorbacks versus Texas Longhorns clash will be televised in Australia on ESPN.
