Another training session for the squad was run on Sunday morning at the Latrobe University Bendigo athletics complex in Flora Hill.
Knott-Hocking Racing has kicked off the past few years by winning some of the classics at Maryborough.
The squad's coaches are John Knott and Steve Hocking.
Family links in this squad which competes on the Victorian Athletics League circuit are mother and son, Kerrieanne and Mitchell Hocking; and Greg Hilson and sons Kyle and Jake.
Also racing for the Knott-Hocking team on New Year's Day will be Kaitlyn Bryce, Lonain Burnett, Jess O'Hara, Dane Heiden and Adam Parker.
