IMOGEN Jelbart goes into Sunday's cycling action at Bendigo in hot form.
The Bendigo-raised cycling star who is now based in Wollongong dominated Saturday's racing on Horsham's track.
The 20-year-old won the 15-lap point score, the Victorian elimination championship, and A-grade kieren.
A superb run for Jelbart included victory in the Ian Niblett women's wheelrace (2000m).
Overall winner of the Godfrey Family-backed omnium in last year's Christmas carnival series, Jelbart won Saturday's opening round, a motorpace.
Jelbart was the Maxine Crouch Trust Fund recipient in the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year awards in 2009-10.
Now in its 50th year, Sports Star is proudly supported by Bendigo Bank and Prime 7.
Another cyclist in top form at Horsham's carnival was Sam Witmitz, winner of the Victorian elimination championship, the A-grade 20-lap scratch race, and the A-grade 12-lap motorpace.
Witmitz also took out the Ian Niblett Wheelrace (2000m).
The Christmas carnival series rolls into Bendigo on Sunday.
First of the junior events is at 2pm on the Tom Flood Sports Centre track in Barnard Street.
Racing for seniors begins at 6pm.
Feature event is the Lindsay Harrington Memorial Wheelrace (2000m).
The classic is sponsored by the Harrington family and the City of Greater Bendigo.
