A grassfire on Bald Hill Road near Daylesford and Hepburn Springs has been downgraded to an Advice message.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was brought under control by fire crews at 4.24pm.
Nearby communities are advised that smoke may be visible for some time to come.
EARLIER: A WATCH and Act warning has been issued for the Hepburn and Hepburn Springs communities following a nearby grass and scrub fire.
The CFA urges residents that leaving now is the safest option with the possibility conditions will change and get worse very quickly.
It advises residents to travel to the home of family or friends that is away from the warning area or to Daylesford.
About 10 crews are attending to the small grassfire on Bald Hill Road after being called out about 3.30pm, a CFA media spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said water-bombing aircraft had initially been called in but had since been called off.
More to come.
