Three weeks of school holidays are taken care of with events run by YMCA, City of Greater Bendigo and other businesses.
YMCA Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk and Mundy Street will offer a dedicated school holiday program to children.
Enrolment is vital for the YMCA program and can be completed at bendigo.ymca.org.au/children/Pages/HolidayProgram.aspx
After enrolment booking is vital for each program by calling 5445 8300.
The program offers team building activities, craft, movies, bowling, sports, scavenger hunts, team challenges, swimming, cooking and more.
The Bendigo Art Gallery will offer holiday workshops from Tuesday, January 13 to Wednesday, January 21.
The gallery will host art activities inspired by the current drawing exhibition, the Paul Guest Prize.
Younger students will have fun exploring different approaches to drawing and have the opportunity to design and decorate their own bag.
Older students will make an accordion book featuring flaps, pockets and other pop-up surprises.
Prices range from $7.50 to $10.50 and bookings can be made by calling 5434 6088.
In January the Bendigo Library will host a Twilight Book Theatre from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday, January 8.
The interactive story telling will be presented by Quirky Tales. For more information, call 5449 2700.
Kelly Sports will bring it's interactive Play in your Park program to public parks around Bendigo.
The family fun days begin on Monday, January 12 from 5pm to 7pm at the Long Gully Recreation Reserve, Tuesday 13, from 5pm at Barrack Reserve and Wednesday 14, at Cooinda Park.

The outdoor cinema will kick off on Friday, February 6 from 8.30pm at Elmore Events Centre and other venues in the region.
