The traditional MCG cricket blockbuster is just days away, with the Australian team in fine form to win the game and take a clean sweep of the series.
If the past two Test matches between Australia and India are anything to go by, then fans should be in for a cracking game of cricket.
India is on the brink of scoring a win, but the Australians seem to be winning the key moments.
The Australians seem to be winning the key moments.
Indian bowlers put the heat on Mitchell Johnson when he batted in Brisbane, but he responded the only way he knows how, by belting 88 runs and blitzing the batsman in a memorable bowling display.
However, the pressure on Brad Haddin is continuing to mount.
Darren Lehmann says he needs to snap out of his form slump.
Haddin's glove work behind the stumps isn't under question, it is his form with the bat that has the coach worried.
He has been averaging just eight runs in his past seven Tests.
While he hasn't been scoring the runs with the bat, I still believe he has a valuable contribution to make to the Test team.
He is providing a great support for rookie skipper Steve Smith (pictured), but no doubt he understands he will need to step up and prove the doubters wrong.
What better way to silence the critics than with a decent score on Boxing Day.
Haddin has it in him, he was the one that saved Australia multiple times during the Ashes series last summer.
Smith, on the other hand, seems to be flying.
The extra pressure of being Australian captain hasn't deterred his ability to lead from the front and continue to hit big scores.
His rapid rise from average all-rounder to captain in just 12 months has been amazing to watch, particularly over the past few months.
He is reliable and is proving to be the right choice to lead Australia in the wake of Michael Clarke's possible career-ending injury.
The Boxing Day Test will also be a big day for Queenslander Joe Burns, who will be making his Australian debut.
Win, lose or draw, the Test will be one Burns will remember forever.
Hopefully he can make his mark and consolidate a spot in the team.
It has been a testing year for the Australians, especially over the past couple of months, so hopefully everyone of all walks of life can enjoy a safe and happy Christmas with their loved ones.
Hopefully the Aussies can add to the festive cheer by winning the Boxing Day Test.
