Svanosio drove Majestic Ess Jay to a commanding victory in the Bendigo Harness Races December 30th Trot.
Trained by Chris Lang, Majestic Ess Jay showed good gate speed to cross from gate five and never looked like being headed.
The son of former smart mare Steffi Jay trotted strongly out to win by more than eight metres in a mile of 2:02.6.
Svanosio has developed a strong partnership with Majestic Ess Jay.
He has driven the gelding 14 times for five wins and six second placings.
Arguably the most impressive winner of the meeting was Quick Draft in the final event of the day.
The David Aiken-trained mare sat in the death, but still ran a slick mile rate of 1:55.8 in her narrow win over the fast-finishing Bromac Del Mar.
Raced by Bendigo’s Ian Carmichael, Quick Draft hasn’t missed a place at her past nine starts, including three wins.
The four-year-old has an impressive career record of 10 wins and 15 placings from 30 starts. She’s earned just on $180,000 in stakemoney.
Another impressive winner was veteran pacer Liston in the claiming event.
The 10-year-old was forced to work hard to find the lead and once in front he had little peace.
The Mark Lee-trained gelding ran a 27.5 second first quarter, but still had plenty in reserve at the finish, holding off Wilushi Blues to win by a neck in a sizzling mile rate of 1:54.7.
