Having moved location to the Strathdale Community Centre just a few months ago, house volunteers wanted to make sure clients and friends knew they were still open for business.
They held a Christmas party last week, where children enjoyed face painting, Santa Claus paid a visit and Karen families wowed attendees with their cuisine.
Co-ordinator Angelique Whitehouse said people from all walks of life came along and helped out on the day.
"Some were people who previously used Neighbourhood House for our courses or for assistance came and enjoyed the event," she said.
"Karen people also came and shared a barbecue with us, and brought along some food.
"It was a way for us to say, 'here we are, in this neighbourhood'."
The Bendigo Neighbourhood House provides courses and support to anyone in the community looking for a hand.
The service moved away from Neale Street, Kennington, after 15 years at the location.
Ms Whitehouse said they could be on the move again in the new year.
"When we moved into this location, we considered it a long-term move," she said.
"Changes at this building early next year mean we will be on the move again."
Ms Whitehouse said the council had not given enough notice for concerned residents to discuss the plan.
The Harry Trott Oval plans are available for public comment until January 30.
