POLICE are appealing for public assistance following two separate fires earlier this month.

Bendigo Police criminal investigation unit Senior Constable Heath Barker said a fire broke out in James Street, Eaglehawk on December 14 about 3.30pm.
A second blaze broke out Woodward Road, Golden Gully on December 16 about 4pm, Senior Constable Barker said.
Both fires burnt through grassland.
Senior Constable Barker said anyone with information regarding the fires should contact Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300 or CrimeStoppers on 1300 333 000.
