With only one more sleep until the event, the only thing Val has left to worry about is the weather.
"Everything is fairly well organised and we are very confident in the weather," she said.
"We've been keeping a close eye on (the weather) but everything else is geared up to go."
Ms Broad said this year's carols were the 44th year the Rotary Club of Bendigo has been involved.
"I don't like to say how many years I've been involved bcause it gives me a fright," she said. "But I have been involved in most of those (44) years with Rotary.
"I just think the event is wonderful family entertainment. I look forward to it every year."
Ms Broad said even if the weather turns horrendous, Bendigo still loves to sing Chritsmas carols.
"We had one year when we had to move at short notice but there were still thousands of people there," she said.
"Everybody in the park is expected to sing, there will be programs and candles handed out at each of the gates."
This year operatic singer Merlyn Quaife and Bendigo performers Oliver Moore and Kelly Bartlett will lead the carols alongside the Bendigo Youth Choir.
The St Francis of the Field School and Axedale Primary School choirs will also perform in their first carols event.
"They are very excited to be singing in conjunction with the Bendigo Youth Choir reserves and, of course, Santa," Ms Broad said.
"Kelly Bartlett, who conducts the band, will also play the cello as a soloist and the wonderful Shelley Long will be the accompaniest for the night."
The Bendigo Community Christmas Carols begins at 7.30pm in Rosalind Park.
Entry is free and people are encouraged to bring their own seating or picnic rugs.
Donations can be made with the money going to the local CFA and SES crews.
