THE state health minister has called for investigations into serious allegations of corruption at Bendigo Health to be referred to the independent anti-corruption commission.

Bendigo Health last month suspended a senior construction manager after the allegations were raised.
Independent investigators were brought in and their findings were yesterday handed over to Victoria Police.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police had received information regarding alleged corruption at a health corporation in Bendigo and the information would be assessed to determine whether any offences had occurred.
It is alleged the construction manager pressured winning bidders of Bendigo Health electrical projects to sub-contract labour-hire employees from certain firms.
Some of the kick-backs are believed to have included labour and building materials used in the manager's private home renovations.
A government spokesman this morning said minister Jill Hennessy was ''concerned about these allegations and it's appropriate these matters have been referred to the relevant authorities''.
"In consequence, the Departmental Secretary will be writing to IBAC later this morning for them to investigate the allegations of corruption,'' he said.
"The minister will be looking to meet with Bendigo Health to discuss these serious allegations.''
IBAC is responsible for identifying and preventing serious corrupt conduct across the public sector.
