TV chef Miguel Maestre filmed throughout Bendigo over two days and finished with a celebration in Dai Gum San gardens.
The Bendigo Chinese Association and Golden Dragon Museum pulled out all the stops for the visiting chef.
"We were really excited to have Miguel here," Golden Dragon Museum general manager Anita Jack said.
"When we were told they wanted to celebrate and promote Chinese New Year, we thought it was a great reason to get dressed up, dance and parade and celebrate diversity in our city.
"We have had a great time with Miguel. It's been a delight."
Mr Maestre said he had never been to Bendigo but that the Chinese New Year segment was perfect for him.
"My perfect segment has to have fun, information, take home tips and a lot of colour and Bendigo ticked every single box," he said.
"Russell (Jack) and his family went to a lot of effort and the beauty of our show is we find people that are so passionate about what they do. Because of that we can show the whole of Bendigo off too."
The segment is expected to air on The Living Room on February 20.
