UPDATE 12.55PM:
Granite Hill Winery owner Llew Knight drove back late Tuesday night after the Pastoria East fire threatened the perimeter of his business.
"I am thankful to the CFA though we have a bit of loss," he said.
Mr Knight said he had lost vineyard netting, plastic harvesting bins and a hay shed that housed them.
He said the vines had minor damage from smoke.
"Th CFA were very good at controlling the boundaries," he said.
"The winery itself and adjoining house were heat affected."
The fire has burned 904 hectares in the Pastoria area, near Kyneton, but is now controlled.
UPDATE 8.15AM:
The Yapeen fire burnt 200 acres of farmland and 50 acres of bushland.
Two out buildings and farm fencing was burnt.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY 7.30AM:
The Pastoria East fire burnt 805 hectares but is now contained.
An Advice warning for the Baynton, Pastoria, Pastoria East and Benlock was issued.
A spokeswoman State Control Centre said the fire burnt a mix of forest and grassland that was between 75 and 100 per cent cured, meaning it was very dry.
She said 52 tankers responded to the fire yesterday with another 40 expected to be used today.
Last night a spokesperson at the State Control Centre said the Granite Hills Winery at Baynton had been damaged in the fire.
The Yapeen fire was declared under control at 7pm on Tuesday night.
About 25 tankers were used to control the blaze.
Both of the fires require special strike teams and other crew to black out and patrol the areas.
UPDATE 10.50PM: The CFA has issued a downgraded Advice message for the Pastoria East fire.
The bushfire is now under control. Residents are no longer under threat.
The fire had burnt 805 hectares before it was controlled.
UPDATE 9.35PM: The Pastoria East fire is continuing to spot fire as far as Griffin Hill.
The fire has burnt 334 hectares in an easterly direction, having crossed Burke and Wills Track.
Ground units are continuing to work to contain the fire.
UPDATE 8.35PM: The CFA has updated the Emergency warning for the Pastoria East fire.
The fire is now heading towards Frosts Road and Youngs Road, having crossed the Burke and Wills Track.
Spot fires and ember attacks have been reported at Youngs Road.
UPDATE 8.20PM: Benloch remains in the path of a fire burning at Pastoria East.
The fire has now burnt more than 130 hectares.
A spokesperson at the State Control Centre said the Granite Hills Winery at Baynton had been damaged in the fire.
UPDATE 7.30PM: The township of Benloch is of concern in the Pastoria East fire, a spokesperson at the State Control Centre says.
The fire is travelling towards the township and assets are under threat.
There are 57 units at the scene.
The fire is reported to have jumped the Burke and Wills Track in an easterly direction.
The Emergency warning issued at 6.51pm remains current for Pastoria, Pastoria East, Sidonia and Benloch.
UPDATE 6.55PM: An Emergency warning has been re-issued for the Pastoria East fire.
The fire remains out of control and is burning in an easterly direction from Baynton Road towards Burke and Wills Track and Youngs Road.
Spot fires have been reported in the area. Ground and air crews continue to battle the fire.
The Emergency warning is current for Pastoria, Pastoria East, Sidonia and Benloch.
UPDATE 6.20PM: There are 27 units committed to the Pastoria East fire. The Emergency warning remains current.
The Yapeen fire is also still going. Properties are no longer under threat.
A spokesperson for the State Control Centre said the suspected cause of the Yapeen fire was a tree across powerlines.
UPDATE 6.07PM: An Emergency warning has been issued for an out of control grass fire at Pastoria East, north east of Kyneton.
The warning is current for Pastoria, Pastoria East, Sidonia and Benloch. Spot fires have been reported in the area.
Aircraft and ground crews are now responding.
The fire is travelling in an easterly direction from Baynton Road towards Pattons Road.
UPDATE 6.05PM: The Yapeen fire has been downgraded to an Advice level.
The Advice warning states the grass fire is under control and residents are no longer under threat.
The fire was downgraded at 5.50pm.
UPDATE 5.50PM: Fire crews are heading to a large grass and scrub fire at Pastoria.
UPDATE 5.40PM: The Emergency warning for Yapeen, Strathloddon and Guildford remains current.
A southwesterly wind change is moving across the state but has not yet reached the fire.
The State Control Centre is encouraging all motorists to avoid the area and avoid the Midland Highway, as powerlines are down in the Yapeen area.
UPDATE 5.20PM: The fire has now burnt more than 100 hectares to the north east of Yapeen.
The fire is burning in a southeasterly direction towards Mopoke Gully Road.
An Emergency warning remains in place.
Powerlines have also been reported down on the Midland Highway at Yapeen.
A spokesperson for the State Control Centre said it is now too late to leave for people in the area and they must continue to monitor conditions.
Forty-four units are now reported on the scene.
UPDATE 5.05PM: The CFA has issued an Emergency warning for residents in the Vaughan Springs Road and Mopoke Road area in Yapeen.
The fire has jumped Donkey Gully Road and is now burning on the east side of the road. Residents in the area are under threat.
The Emergency warning is current for Yapeen, Strathloddon and Guildford.
The warning states:
You are in danger, act now to protect yourself. It is too late to leave. The safest option is to take shelter indoors immediately.
UPDATE 4.50PM: Three helicopters have been dispatched to the Yapeen fire.
A spokesperson for the State Control Centre said there are "scattered properties" in the vicinity of the fire. The fire is near Donkey Gully Road and Vaughan-Springs Road.
Seventeen units are now on the scene. A strike team has been formed.
An Advice warning on the fire remains in place.
UPDATE 4.40PM: The CFA has issued an Advice warning for the fire north of Yapeen.
More than 15 units are now on the scene of the fire north of Yapeen and south of Campbells Creek.
The fire is not under control and is spreading.
The CFA is now encouraging people in the area to review their bushfire survival plan, check on neighbours and monitor conditions.
Smoke will be visible to nearby communities.
EARLIER: Four CFA units are on the scene of a grass fire just off the Midland Highway at Yapeen.
The fire has been reported near Donkey Gully Road and Vaughan-Springs Road.
The fire was reported at 4.04pm and is heading in a south east direction.
A spokesperson for the State Control Centre said a wind change is predicted in the coming hours and encourages people nearby to monitor conditions.
More units are on the way to the fire.
Wind speeds have reached up to 95 kilometres per hour in some areas, with an average of 60 km/h.
