Last month a huge number of passionate volunteers made the festival possible, with John Grossman playing a vital role in fundraising and gathering sponsorship.
In 2012, Mr Grossman began selling merchandise to raise financial support for the festival after deciding that since he spent so much time in the music scene, he “may as well be contributing!”
In time, that experience led to him taking on the main merchandising role, buying and managing the stock to sell.
“It’s good to be involved in that community,” Mr Grossman said.
The festival has gained a lot of popularity in a few short years, even attracting visitors from interstate.
“There are some really interesting people you get to meet,” Mr Grossman said.
“It’s great to see what it has become now from humble beginnings.”
Mr Grossman is also glad for the opportunity to get more involved in the local music scene, which has also led to him performing with his band at other community and fundraising events.
