A crowd of up to 400 people packed the Axedale Park for the annual event.
Axedale - Our Town Our Future president Yvonne Wrigglesworth said it was a record attendance for the carols.
"The night started with children's performer Mr Mike getting all of the children very excited," she said.
"We then had caroling with the Axedale Primary School and the debut of our local signing group, Axedale in Harmony.
"The choir is put together entirely of locals."
Once the singing was done, Santa Claus made his triumphant entry on the back of the Axedale Fire Brigade's tanker.
He was accompanied by Axedale's town mascot, Axel the Platypus.
