From December 11 to 24 Ms Treller and other Vision Australia volunteers will be wrapping gifts purchased at the Bendigo store.
All proceeds go to the not-for-profit provider of services for Australians who are blind or have low vision.
“I think it’s a nice thing to do and you’re helping a good cause,” she said.
“They raise quite a lot of money and they use it to help people who are blind, have low vision, or no vision.”
Ms Treller said she’d gained a lot from the experience over the years and encouraged other community members to roll up their sleeves and volunteer.
“It’s very rewarding actually, it’s lovely,” she said.
“I think volunteering is a great thing and I think there’s probably a lot of people out there with time on their hands where they could do something worthwhile in some way. It’s very good for the community and they also get a lot back themselves.”
“You make friends, you meet people.”
