The Bendigo Traders Association says it is here to help.
The association launched its free online Business Problem Solver this week - a cloud-based application that lets Bendigo businesses anonymously seek help for any problems.
Association president Antony Adolf said business people could rely on the support of the association and its members.
"Our membership base has expertise in almost every field," he said.
"We can also draw upon a vast cyber network to find the right support needed.
"The Business Problem Solver is free and available to all small businesses in the City of Greater Bendigo.
"This means the 'Greater' part too, including Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk, Elmore, Heathcote, Strathfieldsaye and all surrounding communities.
"Not just the CBD."
The Business Problem Solver, available via the bendigotraders.com.au website, invites people to submit their detailed problem with an online form.
The association will then get in touch within 48 hours to determine whether it can help or not.
Mr Adolf said the idea was a way for the organisation to meet the needs of businesses within the City of Greater Bendigo.
"The Business Problem Solver is a 21st century operation based on traditional values such as professionalism, service, relationships, confidentiality and the honour system," he said.
"Examples of common business problems that can be solved include slow sales, marketing, online operations, logistics, landlord and government issues."
Mr Adolf said the system was "quick and easy" to use.
"If it can, consultations and concrete steps follow, keeping in close contact with the small business," he said.
"If not, a referral is made when possible.
"When the problem is solved, a donation to the BTA is requested in the amount the small business believes the problem is worth to it."
The BTA committee approved the idea, sponsored by Bartercard Bendigo, last month.
