Bendigo proved too strong for the Hawks at home, winning by 12 shots, 95-83.
The rinks of Ian Ross and Andrew Brown were in fine form for Bendigo, combining for 60 shots in their two wins.
It was a solid return to form for the rink of Brown, which had lost its previous two games.
The defeat was Eaglehawk’s first since it lost to Castlemaine in the opening round.
Tony Ellis and Simon Carter - the two most dominant rinks for the Hawks this season - were the only winners for Eaglehawk.
• Bendigo East bounced back from a rare three losses in a row to defeat Golden Square in a thriller.
East’s fighting qualities rose to the fore as it grinded out a crucial two-shot victory, winning 92-90.
Both sides won two rinks each - Brad Holland and David Keenan prevailing for East, while Gary Beckham and Marc Smith were Golden Square’s victors.
• Kangaroo Flat made sure its stint on the bottom of the ladder was only short-lived after thumping Castlemaine.
While the Flat had gone into the game last, Castlemaine had won three in a row and was on the cusp of the top four.
But it was a one-sided whitewash as Kangaroo Flat hammered Castlemaine by 56 shots, winning 118-62.
The Flat won all four rinks, with skippers Geoff Boyd (35), Dean Carter (30) and John Carter (30) all scoring at least 30 shots.
Kangaroo Flat’s 118 is the BBD’s highest score of the season so far.
• South Bendigo won its second game of the season, comfortably accounting for Inglewood by 25 shots.
South rolled to a commanding 113-88 victory at home, winning three of the four rinks.
South’s score of 113 was aided by the rink of John Dixon scoring 40 in a 22-shot win over Ian Chamberlain.
