All games across the Bendigo District, Northern United, Emu Valley and Upper Loddon cricket associations were preceded by a minute silence in memory of Hughes, who died last Thursday - two days after being struck in the neck by a bouncer while batting for South Australia against New South Wales at the SCG.
Players and umpires also wore black arm bands, while many also chose to honour Hughes by leaning their cricket bats against fences as part of the nation-wide #PutOutYourBats tribute.
