Improvements were made to the pool during winter, including the repainting of the 50-metre pool, concreting and refurbishment of the entrance.
President Ken Hamilton said he was looking forward to the opening and the upcoming season.
“Our volunteers have worked really hard throughout the winter and are eagerly looking forward to once again running the pool,” Mr Hamilton said.
Mr Hamilton said community members would volunteer at the kiosk and maintain the pool grounds.
He said the admission prices would not change this summer and that community members would be able to purchase a Golden Square Community Pool Season Pass if they wanted to swim locally.
“Thanks to the support of the community, we were able to keep our entry prices the same for the upcoming season,” Mr Hamilton said.
The City of Greater Bendigo gave the pool a grant to help prepare for Australia Day celebrations, which will include a free barbeque breakfast, rides, competitions and entertainment.
More than 12,000 people visited the pool last summer, an increase of more than 10,000 entries on the previous year before the community took it over.
